Kate Hudson was inspired by her mother Goldie Hawn.
The actress revealed that it is Hawn who she admires the most as she paved the way for actresses to produce movies as well as star in them.
Speaking to Elle Magazine the actress said: "I wouldn't be honest if I didn't say my mum. Apart from the fact that she's my mother, she's a brilliant comedian and a force as a producer."
"She paved the way for women to produce and star in their own films, and to balance that with being the matriarch of our family is really inspiring."
We haven't seen Hudson on the big screen since the controversial Michael Winterbottom film The Killer Inside Me, which was released earlier this year.
But she will be making her big screen return in the new year with A Little Bit Of Heaven, which sees her star alongside Gael Garcia Bernal, Kathy Bates and Whoopi Goldberg.
She has already completed work on Something Borrowed, which also stars John Krasinski and Ginnifer Goodwin, and she is already t star in Big Eyes.
