Kenny Ortega is Paramount's favourite to helm the remake of eighties musical Footloose wanting the director to 're-imagine' the movie.The High School Musical director looks like he will be sticking with the musical format for a while longer as will actor Zac Efron who is tipped to star in the film as Ren.Efron made his name in the High School Musical franchise, that hits the big screen for the first time in a fortnight as well as starring in musical Hairspray last year.As well as Footloose rumours circulated at the premier of Senior Year that a fourth movie could be on the cards.The original Footloose starred Kevin Bacon, which was released in 1984, and despite a mixed reviews it has gone on to become a much loved classic.The film is delicately scheduled for a 2010 release.
