Kevin McKidd has revealed that filming could begin on an big screen adaptation of hit TV show Rome as early as next year.
The actor, who is currently appearing in American medical drama Grey's Anatomy, is all set to reprise the role of Lucius in the movie.
Speaking to E! Online the actor said: "There's just no chance of doing it this hiatus, so the tentative plan is to try and get it done next summer, in between season seven and eight of Grey's."
"Everybody in the cast whose character still lives - they've all verbally said, 'Yes, we're absolutely up to doing it'."
"There's still that intent. Part of the money is there - I think about 50% of the financing is there. We're almost there."
McKidd has been mixing and matching his acting work of late, finding success with Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief as well as working on Grey's Anatomy.
The actor joined the show as Dr. Owen Hunt, a role he has played since 2008.
