Liam Neeson has revealed that working on The A-Team caused him to start smoking again.

The actor takes on the role of cigar smoking Hannibal in the big screen remakes of cult TV show The A-Team this summer.

And while he did use fake cigars at one point in the shoot it wasn't long before he was smoking the real thing.

In an interview with The Sun he said: "! stopped smoking 16 years ago so it was a real issue for this movie," he said.

"The prop guys got me these amazing fake Cuban cigars but then I was given real ones. I said, 'I can't do this, I'm an addict'.

"By day two of filming I had discovered cigars and I was in trouble."

The A-Team is just one of a string of movies that Neeson has worked on in a very busy 2010, he already has Chloe and Clash of the Titans under his belt.

Later this year he will once again voice the character of Aslan in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader while also starring in The Next Three Days and Unknown While Male.

The A-Team is released 30th July.
