Lincoln

The latest betting from William Hill suggests that Steven Spielberg’s biopic, Lincoln, is set to dominate the Golden Globes & Oscars and is red hot favourite to win the big treble of Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor at both award ceremonies.

That said, there has been a move for Les Miserables to produce the goods at the Oscars (2/1 second favourite).

One Hollywood star that is unlikely to win awards at either ceremony is Tom Cruise, whose portrayal of Jack Reacher has received mixed reviews. William Hill offer 5/1 that he wins a Best Actor award at the Razzies.

Lincoln looks certain to deliver Golden Globe success but we feel that Les Miserable will be peaking at the perfect time and may well be the success story of the Oscars.” Said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams. “It has not been a great year for Tom Crusie who may win an award that I am sure he does not want!”
