Liv Tyler has revealed that she is not in The Hobbit but would love to go back to New Zealand to work on the project.
Tyler starred as Arwen in The Lord of The Rings but will not reprise the role as Peter Jackson brings The Hobbit to the big screen.
Talking to PopEater the actress said: "I'm definitely not in The Hobbit and I actually don't know anything about it.
"I realised I need to call my friends in New Zealand to ask them what's going on so I have some facts when I get asked questions about it."
And while she will not be going back to work on the movie she admits that she would have loved to return.
"Kind of secretly, [though] maybe desperate is the wrong word to use.
"I would love to go back there and bring my son to New Zealand and see all those amazing people. It was such a magical experience."
Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett and Elijah Wood will all be returning to their Lord of the Rings roles for the new movie.
