Maggie Gyllenhaal 'hung out' with Emma Thompson on the set of their latest movie Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang.
It was the first venture onto the big screen for Gyllenhaal since securing her first Oscar nomination for her role in Crazy Heart.
And while the actress was disappointed not to do much work with Thompson, who also penned the script, in front of the camera they did enjoy each others company when they stopped rolling.
Speaking to Contactmusic the actress said: "We did work together on Stranger Than Fiction but we never acted together, not even for a second. And even in this movie it's not much, we don't do much together.
"We mostly just hung out together. And she was of course on set all the time as producer and writer. But as actresses we didn't do much work together.
Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang comes five years after the first film, which was released back in 2005.
