Marc Webb has heaped praise on Emma Stone saying that she is incredibly funny and has great emotional range.
The Amazing Spider Man director was on the red carpet in London earlier this week for the premiere of the movie.
He went on to say that Stone and leading man Andrew Garfield have a great chemistry throughout the new movie.
Webb takes over the director's chair from Sam Raimi as the Spider Man franchise is given a re-boot this summer.
The Amazing Spider Man is the first movie outing for the director since the success of 500 Days of Summer back in 2009.
Andrew Garfield will take over the role of Spider Man while Emma Stone, Martin Sheen and Sally Field will also star.
The Amazing Spider Man is released 3rd July
