Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg has confirmed that Ted 2 is in the pipeline and has described Seth MacFarlane's ideas for the sequel as 'sick'.

Ted has been one of the most successful comedy movies of 2012 grossing in excess of $501 million at the global box office.

The sequel will see Wahlberg reprise the role of John Bennett while MacFarlane looks set to return to the director's chair as well as voicing the character of Ted.

Speaking to Collider the actor said: "They are working on it now ... The great thing about it is Seth's ideas for the second one are sick.

"He comes from a world of television so he knows how to tell stories, the way that most people don't. He's a different kind of guy."

And Wahlberg has a very busy 2013 ahead of his as he is set to star in Broken City and Pain & Gain at the beginning of the year while The Lone Survivor and 2 Guns are also set for release.

He will also begin shooting Transformers 4, a movie that will see him take over the lead role in the franchise and reunite with director Michael Bay.

It is believed that he will begin shooting Ted 2 almost as soon as he has wrapped on the blockbuster.
