Michael Keaton

Michael Keaton has joined his Beetlejuice co-star Geena Davis in calling on movie bosses to commission a sequel - insisting he would reprise his role "in a heartbeat".

Rumors of a possible follow-up to Tim Burton's ghoulish 1988 comedy have been swirling around Hollywood for several years, but the speculation stepped up after Davis recently admitted she would be happy to sign up.

Now Keaton has also lodged his support for a sequel - because he would "love" to reprise his title role as the kooky ghost.

He tells MovieHole.net, "Oh I'd do that in a heartbeat. Absolutely, that's the one thing I'd love to do again. That's the only one I'd love to do."

The movie was met well by the critics when it was released and went on to gross over $73 million, five times it's budget.

But Keaton is back on the big screen this year, or at least his voice is, as he takes on the role of Ken in Toy Story 3.

The actor will also star alongside Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell in cop comedy The Other Guys which will be released later this year.
