Elysium

Elysium

Elysium is the movie not to miss next year as Matt Damon is back on the big screen while Neill Blomkamp is back in the director's chair.

We haven't seen a Blomkamp movie since the fantastic District 9 back in 2009 - it was a movie that really cemented him as an incredibly exciting filmmaker.

And his next project Elysium looks set to be just as good as Matt Damon leads an all star cast that includes Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley.

From this latest picture it looks like it is going to be a kick-ass role for Damon - who we haven't seen on the big screen since We Bought A Zoo.

-In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth.

Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can.

When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

The only band news about this movie is that we are going to have to wait until September before we get to see it.

Elysium is released 20th September 2013
