Paul Newman Gives Up On Acting.... Hollywood legend Paul Newman's acting career is a "closed book" so he can concentrate on his restaurant instead. The Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid star is finding it increasingly difficult to maintain a high level of performance so is ditching the silver screen to promote his organic eatery, Dressing Room, instead.Newman, 82, says, "I'm not able to work anymore as an actor at the level I would want to.
