Sam Worthington has heaped praise on his Avatar co-stars.
The actor has taken on the role of former Marine Jake Sully in James Cameron's sci-fi blockbuster that has dominated the global box office.
However Worthington insists that the movie was a team effort.
In an interview with Virgin News the actor said: "Acting is reacting so you're only as good as your fellow actors.
"And when you work with Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver, you tend to be pretty darn good,"
He went on to talk about his character Jake, who finds his loyalties divided, saying: "He doesn't take any crap. He doesn't believe that he's got a disability.
"He believes that people who are telling him what he cannot do - they've got the disability. I think that's a good message."
Thanks to this role Worthington has seen his star soar and he is back in the blockbuster movie next year with the remake of Clash of the Titans.
