Sarah Jessica Parker has hinted that there could be more Sex and the City movies in the pipeline.

She returns to the role of Carrie Bradshaw next month with the release of Sex and the City 2, which comes two years after the success of the first movie.

Speaking to MSN the actress said: "I think the beauty of a character like Carrie Bradshaw is because of the nature of her work there are always things for her to explore because she's curious about the world."

"She's curious about sexual politics and certainly she's very curious about friendships and intimacy among women so the possibilities for a story are endless."

Despite rumours that there had been tension on set between Parker and her co-stars Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon but these have been denied.

"What I'm most happy to tell you, is that we four women, despite I guess what a lot of people hope, have never been better.

"This movie - and maybe it's because we actually lived together - it was the best! We were together all day long, at night, in the restaurants, in our hotels. It was wonderful."

Sex and the City grossed over $415 million when it was released back in the summer of 2008, holding itself well against the big budget blockbusters.

Sex and the City 2 is released 27th May.
