Shia LaBeouf has revealed that Steven Spielberg is working on a fifth Indiana Jones movie and that a storyline is almost ready.

After impressing the filmmaker in Transformers in 2007 in the role of Sam Witwicky the young actor landed the role of Mutt Williams, Indy's son, in last year's movie Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

It was the first time that Harrison Ford had appeared on the big screen in the iconic role for almost twenty years.

Whilst promoting Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in the UK earlier this week LaBeouf said: "Steven just said that he cracked the story on it and I think they're gearing that up."

Despite mixed reviews the movie was a huge hit going on to gross over $786 million at the global box office, the most successful movie in the Indiana Jones franchise.

Since these two massive movies LaBeouf has become the latest hottest property in Hollywood finding further success with Disturbia and Eagle Eye, both of which topped the U.S box office.

In that time he has worked with the likes of Spielberg, Michael Bay and Oliver Stone and he went on to talk about the differences in which they work: "Oliver Stone is a different filmmaker than I've experienced.

"He's a bit more rebellious than Steven, has a different edge than Mike. It's fun to get to work with your superheroes, these guys are Batman and Robin to me."

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is released 19th June.
