Skyfall

Skyfall has topped the U.S. box office taking a cool $87.8 million in it's opening weekend.

The movie has been breaking box office records and winning over critics left, right and centre and that seems to have carried over to the States.

Skyfall toppled Wreck It Ralph after the animation film spent just one week at #1 and comfortably held off all the competition.

Skyfall is the twenty third Bond movie and sees Daniel Craig reprise the role of 007 for a third outing - his first since Quantum of Solace back in 2009.

Wreck It Ralph fell just a single place to number two while Denzel Washington's new film Flight was also down one at three.

Ben Affleck's latest directorial offering Argo slipped just a single place to four while Taken 2 was a none mover at number five.

Here Comes The Boom was one of the movies that went up this week as it rose three places from nine to six while Cloud atlas fell from six to seven.
