Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone reveals that Arnold Schwarzenegger's eyes lit up when he stepped onto the set of The Expendables.

The Governor of California joins an all star cast of Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis and Dolph Lungdren for Stallone's first movie, both in front and behind the camera since Rambo in 2008.

And while the movie hasn't been released yet Stallone is already thinking about a sequel and Schwarzenegger is am actor he wants back.

Speaking to MTV the actor said: "If this works, I would love to get him in the next one. I really think so.

"He's been out of the limelight a long time, and I think this is the kind of film that would be a nice intro."

And Stallone admitted that Schwarzenegger seemed excited to be back on a movie set. "I saw his eyes light up. It's one thing to run a state, but it's another thing to get back to what you're really known for.

"Certain actors you're never going to see come down the pike again, and he's one of them."

Schwarzenegger did appear in Terminator Salvation but he never set foot on set to film the scenes and McG created the younger looking Arnie from special effects.

The last time that we saw Arnie on the big screen was back in 2003 when he took on the role of Prince Hapi in Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan and Steve Coogan.

The Expendables is released 20th August.
