Steven Moffat says that it was a simple decision to agree to work on The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.
Moffat has joined forces with Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish to bring Tintin to the big screen for the first time.
The movie is directed by Steven Spielberg with Peter Jackson on producing duties - Weta Digital working on bringing the movie to life.
Moffat was on the red carpet at the UK premiere of the movie at the weekend and he revealed that the offer to work on the script for the movie came out of the blue.
And Tintin is not the only writing project that Moffat has been working on this year as he also has Sherlock, which is the second series, and Doctor Who under his belt.
Moffat has taken over as executive producer of the hit sci-fi show as well as penning some of the episodes.
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is released 26th October.
