Taylor Lautner has revealed that he sees his Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson as competition in the best physique stakes.
Seventeen year old Lautner reprises his role as Jacob Black in the New Moon, the second movie in the Twilight saga.
In the film Black undergoes a major physical transformation that required Lautner to hit the gym and beef up for the role.
But New Moon also sees Pattinson, who is returning as vampire Edward Cullen, getting his shirt off and he too has toned up to impress the fans.
In an interview with MTV Lautner said: "Rob, he's getting some muscle. There's some good competition."
However Lautner admitted that he hasn't been giving the British actor any workout tips: "No, he definitely doesn't need any pointers at all. He's got it covered."
New Moon continues to follow Bella Swan's romance with vampire Edward and she is left broken hearted when he and his family leaves town.
But childhood friend Jacob Black, who is carrying secrets of his won, is there to pick up the pieces as they grow closer.
New Moon is released 20th November.
