Tom Cruise in Rock Of Ages
Tom Cruise has been described as 'astonishing' in new movie Rock of Ages by his co-star Julianne Hough.
The actor is to place eighties rocker Stacee Jaxx in the movie - and the actor released a pic of himself from the film last week.
Speaking to MTV Hough said: "I'm not kidding, the guy can sing. The guy can dance, the guy obviously can act.
"I mean, he can do it all, and he does it all very well."
And while Hough was not on set on the first day that Cruise performed she got some very excited emails.
"I wasn't there for the first day of shooting for his stuff, but I just got people emailing me, like, 'Oh my gosh,' chills, standing ovation, holy crap, the crew was blown away.
"And I'm like, 'I missed it! What the heck?' So, he's astonishing."
Rock Of Ages is a big screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical which is directed by Adam Shankman.
The cast also includes Russell Brand. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin and Paul Giamatti.
The movie is set for a summer 2012 release.
