Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps has ended the reign of The Other Guys at the top of the UK box office as the sequel has taken the number one spot.
Oliver Stone is back in the director's chair as Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps comes thirteen years after the original back in 1987.
Michael Douglas is back as Gordon Gekko and he is joined by an all star cast of Carey Mulligan, Shia LeBeouf, Josh Brolin and Frank Langella.
As the global economy teeters on the brink of disaster, a young Wall Street trader partners with disgraced former Wall Street corporate raider Gordon Gekko on a two-tiered mission: To alert the financial community to the coming doom, and to find out who was responsible for the death of the young trader's mentor.
The movie took over £1.7 million to comfortable take the top spot this week. And it was new entries all the way in the top three this weekend as comedy Life As We Know It opened at number two.
In at three was The Death and Life of Charlie St Cloud, a movie which sees Zac Efron leave behind his teenage projects and take on a dramatic role.
The Other Guys was down three places to number four, after three weeks in the top spot, and there was also a three place fall for Ben Affleck's The Town, which rounded off the top five.
The Hole in 3D dropped just a single place to number six while Made In Dagenham also fell just one place to number seven. There was a four place fall for Eat Pray Love down from four to eight.
But this week's biggest faller came in the form of Buried, which stars Ryan Reynolds, which dropped six places from three to this week's number nine.
Toy Story 3 hung on in the top ten as it dropped two places.
