Roger Friedman, a US journalist, has been fired after he posted a review of the leaked Wolverine movie in his Fox 411 column.

The film was leaked last week and although the film has now been removed it is believed that the film may have been downloaded 100,000 times.

A statement from Fox New read that they had: "mutually agreed to part ways" with Friedman after he admitted to watching the leaked movie, that the FBI are now investigating.

Friedman wrote: "I doubt anyone else has seen this film. But everyone can relax. I am, in fact, amazed about how great Wolverine turned out. It exceeds expectations at every turn."

Before joking that downloading the film was:"so much easier than going out in the rain".

The leaked material was an incomplete and early version of the film with several special effect scenes and musical score missing.

Yesterday actor Hugh Jackman, who reprises the role of Wolverine for this X-Men spin off revealed that he had been left 'heartbroken' by the leak.

X-Men Wolverine is released 24th April.
