Zac Efron is the frontrunner for the big screen version of The Adventures Of Jonny Quest.
The High School Musical star has revealed that he is excited about the live action version of the 1960s cartoon and playing the lead role, despite being ten years older than the original.
In an interview with Moviehole warned fans that the movie was still in the early stages but it "would be very fun" and is "a great idea".
"It’s a long, long process. It’s so hard when people start leaking titbits. They’re very, very early on [with it] - not that it won’t happen, it’s just early."
After his role in hit teen movies High School Musical the young actor has been inundated with worked as he went on to star in musical Hairspray.
This year will see him star in 17 Again and Me and Orsen Welles. A remake of Footloose is also in development as are plans for a second Hairspray movie.
