Amy Adams says she doesn't really want the character of Lois Lane to be caught in a love triangle in Batman vs Superman.
Adams took on the role of Lane for the first time this summer in blockbuster Man of Steel; a film which saw Superman return to the big screen.
Wonder Woman is expected to make an appearance in the sequel, but Adams does not the characters to go head to head for Clark Kent's affections.
Speaking to Coming Soon the actress said: "I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we're not in a love triangle.
"That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries."
Henry Cavill is set to reprise the role of Superman in the film, while Ben Affleck is also on board as Batman.
Gal Gadot seems to have landed the role of Wonder Woman; the likes of Olga Kurylenko and Jaimie Alexander had been linked to the role.
As for Adams she will be back on the big screen in the new year as she stars in American Hustle alongside Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
Batman vs Superman will be released in 2015.
