Annie is set to hit the big screen this Christmas and the brand new poster for the film is here.

Annie is a remake of the 1982 film, and sees Will Gluck in the director's chair for the first time since Friends with Benefits.

Quvenzhané Wallis - who shot to fame with her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild - has landed the part of Annie, and this is set to send her star rocketing even further.

A great cast has been assembled for the film, as Wallis is joined by Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Rose Byrne, and Bobby Cannavale: all of whom feature in this great new poster for the film.

Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they’d be back for her someday, it’s been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan (Diaz).

But everything’s about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Foxx) - advised by his brilliant VP, Grace (Byrne) and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor, Guy (Cannavale) - makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in.

Stacks believes he’s her guardian angel, but Annie’s self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it’s the other way around.

Annie is set to be one of the movies that will se the big screen alight this festival season, and I can't wait to check it out.

Annie is released 26th December.
