Anthony Mackie

Anthony Mackie

Anthony Mackie says he wants to reprise the role of Falcon in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and keeps calling Marvel to see if his character will appear in the film.

We will see Mackie play Falcon for the first time next month as he joins the cast of Captain America: the Winter Soldier - the second stand along film for Captain America.

However, the actor says he wants to reprise this role and is hoping that there still could be a play for him in the second Avengers film.

Speaking to Total Film, Mackie said: "I call all of them at Marvel every Monday. I'm like, 'So have y'all decided if I'm in Avengers 2 yet? I'll get on the bus to Albuquerque tomorrow!'

"I wanted to be a superhero from the first day that I started in this business, and to have the opportunity to be a superhero is kind of remarkable. If I get the opportunity to be in The Avengers 2, 3, 7 and 18, there's no way I would complain or balk at any part of that..."

Mackie is just one of the new faces on the cast list for The Winter Soldier, as Robert Redford and Frank Grillo are also on board.

The movie will see Chris Evans return in the title role, while Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson are back as Black Widow and Nick Fury.

The Avengers: The Age of Ultron is already a packed movie as Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor and Hulk will all be returning. Ultron, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are some of the new characters that will be being introduced.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be hitting the big screen next summer and is already one of the most anticipated films of 2015.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is released 26th March.
