Benedict Cumberbatch is the latest addition to the Crimson Peak cast list.
Cumberbatch is quickly becoming one of the most sought after actors and will team up with Guillermo Del Toro for the project according to Variety. .
Emma Stone and Charlie Hunnam are already aboard the horror project but it is not yet clear what all of the roles will be.
Cumberbatch will be back on the big screen this summer as he takes on the role of John Harrison in Star Trek Into Darkness - the biggest part of his movie career to date.
He will also be taking on the role of Smaug in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug at the end of the year.
Cumberbatch has also completed work on Twelve Years A Slave and August: Osage County and he is currently working on The Fifth Estate, in which he will play Julian Assange.
As for del Toro he is back in the director's chair this summer with Pacific Rim.
This is the first directorial outing for del Toro since Hellboy II: The Golden Army as he has been concentrating on producing projects.
