Howard took on the role of Claire for the first time in Jurassic World, last year and work on the sequel is already under way as Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly are currently penning the film's screenplay.

And the actress admits that she hopes the high heels will not be making a comeback in the second film.

Speaking to E! Online, the actress said: "Claire is a different person now. The person she is at the end of the [first] movie is not the person she was in the beginning.

"Her armour of sorts was that white, pristine outfit with heels in a very corporate environment and stuff, and the chick at the end - totally different. So yeah... it better not be heels."

Howard is set to reunite with Chris Pratt for the sequel, however, nothing is known about the direction or setting for the new film.

Trevorrow directed Jurassic World to billion dollar success last year but he has already announced that he will not be returning to the director's chair. While no director has officially been announced, J.A. Bayona is just one of the names to be linked to the project.

Jurassic World grossed $1,669 billion at the global box office last year, and was the highest grossing film of 2015 until Star Wars: The Force Awakens came along.

We are going to be seeing plenty of Howard this year as she has already completed work on Gold and Pete's Dragon.

The actress is currently at the Sundance Film Festival promoting her new short film Solemates, which sees her in the director's chair.

This is the latest in a string of short film projects that Howard has directed - how long is it before we see her make the leap into features?

Jurassic World 2 is expected in 2018.
