Chloe Moretz has revealed that she would 'kill' to land a part in Star Wars Episode VII.

J.J. Abrams is in the director's chair for the film, but not official announcement has been made about the casting.

But Mortez has thrown her name into the hat saying that she would love to be involved with such a project.

Speaking to MTV the actress said: "I mean, obviously there's interest. It's Star Wars. I'd kill to be a part of that franchise, but I don't know. JJ, I'll give you my phone number. You can text me."

There have been all sorts of casting rumours flying around; the return of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford being the most long standing.

But last week it was rumoured that both Ryan Gosling anf Zac Efron were in the frame for roles in the film. It was suggested that Gosling could play the son of Luke Skywalker.

As for Moretz she is back on the big screen this summer as she reprises the role of Hit Girl in Kick Ass 2.

She is also set to play the title role in Carrie, as the classic horror movie is re-imagined.

Star Wars: Episode VII will be hitting the big screen in 2015.
