Evans is back on the big screen as the Marvel hero in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which comes a year after he enjoyed hug box office success with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Over the last couple of years the movies have explored the character of Steve Rodgers, but the actor believes that he is still lacking experience when it comes to women.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actor said: "I think we really scratched the surface on something great and I think there's just so much to explore. Not just with the evolution of myself and [Anthony Mackie's character, Falcon], but the reconnection with Bucky, and ultimately a relationship with a woman."
"It's funny when you think about it - he's probably a virgin. He's probably a virgin! I don't know when it would've happened."
Age of Ultron has already grossed over $255 million worldwide and topped the UK box office. However, the movie has opened in the U.S. this weekend and is expected to take over $200 million in this first weekend of release.
Age of Ultron follows on from The Winter Solider with the demise of S.H.I.E.L.D. and perfectly sets up the divisions between main characters that we are going to see in Civil War.
Filming on Civil War - which is the third stand alone film for Captain America and Chris Evans - is due to start filming this month and will bring to life the iconic comic book story arc.
The movie sees Robert Downey Jr and Jeremy Renner join the Captain America franchise for the first time, while Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, and Sebastian Stan are all set to return.
