Emily Blunt has confessed that while filming scenes for her and Tom Cruise's new film 'Edge of Tomorrow', she got him to admit that he was struggling with the stunts.

Blunt & Cruise were shooting scenes for their new film in a small studio while wearing heavy body suits and harnesses, and she's admitted she forced the famously enthusiastic actor to admit he was struggling too.

She said: "I remember this day we were getting dropped out of this drop ship and the set was so small and we were boiling in these huge suits and there was no space and people were crashing into each other.

"And we're hanging in these harnesses with the full weight of the 85 pound suit and our body weight on our groin, which is not fun, and we're just hanging there and I look at Tom and I can just see that insatiable positivity starting to unravel.

"I looked at him and he was pouring with sweat and I just whispered, 'This really sucks', and he just looked at me and went, 'It's a challenge'. And I said, 'Tom, it sucks!' And he said, 'Alright it sucks!' I broke him. I broke his spirit."

The 31-year-old actress did all her own stunts for the sci-fi film and thinks Cruise, despite being known for always doing his own, also found it difficult to keep up with the action.

Speaking on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', she said: "I did train a lot. You kind of want to do your own [stunts] as well so that he's [Cruise] not the only one. He was like, 'Em it's going to be hard. You've got to do your own stunts'.

"It was a challenging shoot. The heavy armoured suits, they weighed like between 85 and 100 pounds. His suit weighed about a hundred pounds, and I think this movie might be the hardest movie he's ever done."
