The Falcon is set to be one of the big new additions to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and a brand new character poster has been unveiled.

Anthony Mackie will take on the role as this character is brought on to the big screen for the first time.

Mackie will be joining forces with Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson for the first time, as they are set to fight the Winter Solider.

Evans is back in the title role, while Johansson will also be returning as Black Widow. Samuel L. Jackson is on board as Nick Fury.

Mackie is not the only new face, as Robert Redford, Frank Grillo, and Emily VanCamp are also on the cast list.

It is all change in the director's chair as well as Anthony and Joe Russo take over from Joe Johnston.

Mackie has also revealed a desire to appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it is yet to be announced if the character of Falcon will be involved.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is released 26th March.
