Fifty Shades of Grey will not be hitting the big screen until 2015.

The adaptation of the popular E.L. James novel was set to be released in August of next year, but the movie has not been pushed back.

The production has had to overcome some problems in recent weeks as leading man Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the project.

Hunnam was set to take on the central role of Christian Grey, but he left the movie not long after landing the role.

Two weeks after Hunnam's departure Universal Studios announced that Jamie Dornan would be taking over the role.

Dornan has made his name on the small screen with the likes of Once Upon A Time and The Fall under his belt, but this is set to be the biggest role of his career.

Dakota Johnson will take on the role of Anastasia Steele, while Jennifer Ehle will play Anastasia's mother.

Sam Taylor-Johnson will be in the director's chair for the film in what is her first movie since she made her debut with Nowhere Boy.

Fifty Shades of Grey will now hit the big screen February 13, 2015.
