The first image of Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking has been released by Working Title.
Redmayne is set to take on the role of Hawking in new film Theory of Everything, alongside fellow British actress Felicity Jones.
Jones will take on the role of Hawking's wife Jane Wilde, as the film explores Hawking's university days and meeting his future wife.
Theory of Everything will see James Marsh - who won an Oscar for Man on Wire - back in the director's chair: this is the first film for Marsh since Shadow Dancer.
Redmayne and Jones are joined on the cast list by Emily Watson, Charlie Cox, and David Thewlis.
Theory of Everything is released 2nd January 2015.
