Garrett Hedlund is set to take on the role of Captain Hook in new film Pan.
According to Deadline.com, Hedlund has seen off tough competition from the likes of Ezra Miller and Jack Hudson for the villainous role.
Pan will see Hedlund team up with director Joe Wright for the first time, as the British filmmaker returns for his first film since Anna Karenina.
Hedlund is the first name to be officially linked with the film - rumours have swirled that Javier Bardem and Hugh Jackman have been eyed for the role of Blackbeard.
Hedlund is back on the big screen this week in Inside LLewyn Davis; his first film since On The Road.
The actor has also completed work on Lullaby and Mojave, and is currently working on Unbroken.
Pan is set to hit the big-screen in 3D on June 26, 2015.
