Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures' collaboration on the cinematic MonsterVerse continues next year with the follow-up to 2014 global success Godzilla; the aptly-titled Godzilla II: King of the Monsters. Today, the second official trailer for the film has been released, showcasing some of the beasts we can expect to see on the big screen when the movie hits in May 2019. Check it out below:
Directed by Michael Dougherty, audiences will watch talented actors including Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Millie Bobby Brown, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds and Zhang Ziyi in the film, as a bunch of "titans" look to battle it out for dominance.
Crypto-zoological agency Monarch and its members will face off against the gigantic team of monsters, and it's unsure as to which side of the battle Godzilla will fall on. When his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah looks set to bring ultimate destruction however, it looks as though he'll be forced to step up to the plate.
Other ancient super-species such as Mothra and Rodan also get in on the chaos, vying for supremacy and uncaring of humanity's existence which is left hanging in the balance.
Godzilla II: King of the Monsters comes to cinemas across the UK on May 31, 2019.
