Gwyneth Paltrow has suggested that Iron Man 3 will be the last in the series.

The actress is back as Pepper Potts this week in the third movie of the hit franchise.

But when asked if there was a fourth film on the cards Paltrow seemed to believe that no further movies would be made.

Speaking to Bleeding Cool the actress said: "I don’t think there’s going to be [an Iron Man 4]. I think we’re done with Iron Man."

Robert Downey Jr's three film contract has come to an end with this picture and there has been much speculation over whether he would return.

Director Shane Black has hinted that he thought DowneyJr would make another Iron Man film - but Paltrow believes it may not be on the cards.

Iron Man 3 kicks off Phase 2 of Marvel movies that will end with Avengers 2 - which Downey Jr is expected to appear in.

The first two movies have collectively grossed a cool $1.1 billion at the global box office and Iron Man 3 looks set to be the most successful to date.
