Helena Bonham Carter has joined the cast of 'Cinderella'.

The 'Lone Ranger' actress has landed a role in another Disney movie, this time signing on to play Cinderella's fairy godmother in Kenneth Branagh's new take on the classic fairytale story, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It's thought Bonham Carter's fairy godmother will receive more screen time in this live action adaptation than the character received in Disney's 1950 animated version of the story.

The Oscar-nominated actress joins a mostly British including 'Downton Abbey' actress Lily James, who will play the titular fairytale princess, and 'Game of Thrones' star Richard Madden, who is set to star opposite James as her Prince Charming.

Bonham Carter will also share the screen with a fellow Oscar-celebrated actress in Cate Blanchett as the actress is on board to play Cinderella's evil stepmother.

Meanwhile, 'Downton Abbey' actress Sophie McShera and 'The Borgias' actress Holliday Grainger will play Cinderella's mean stepsisters.

The live action movie is due to begin filming in London in September and is set for release around Christmas time in 2014.

Bonham Carter next stars in Disney's 'The Lone Ranger' with Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.
