Has Jeremy Renner just confirmed that Hawkeye may be making an appearance in Captain America 3?
Renner has his character of Hawkeye has been linked with a role in the upcoming Captain America 3, but there has been no official word if the rumour is true.
Also, the actor reveals that he is not fighting to get a solo film for the Marvel character.
Speaking to MTV, the actor said: "I’m happy to be the ensemble. I’m not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means.
"I think he’s a utility guy that can bounce around into other people’s universes a little bit, especially like ‘Cap 3.’"
Renner would follow in the footsteps of Scarlett Johansson, who reprised the role of Black Widow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier earlier this year.
We haven't seen Hawkeye on the big screen since the huge success of Avengers Assemble, but he will be back next year.
Renner will reunite with Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Mark Ruffalo for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Age of Ultron is already one of the most anticipated films of next year, and is set to be one of the most successful.
As for Renner, we are also going to be seeing him in Kill The Messenger at the beginning of 2015 and he is currently filming Mission: Impossible 5.
The actor will be reprising the role of William Brandt alongside Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames.
Captain America 3 is not set to hit the big screen until 2016. Avengers: Age of Ultron is released 24th April 2015.
