Liam Neeson has revealed that often gets mistaken for Ralph Fiennes.

Neeson says that he is often praised for his work in The English Patient when he is being asked for autographs.

Neeson and Fiennes are no strangers having worked together on Schindler's List, Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, the actor said:"I keep getting fans and stuff mixing me up with Ralph because we have very similar profiles.

"So I've been complimented on winning a Tony Award for my Hamlet, he's been complimented on the 'Taken' movies.

"My wife and I were walking through a hotel in Paris passing these two elderly couples. They got up and this lady said 'Excuse me, can I introduce you to my husband and his best friend who landed on D Day 50 years ago...

"I was about to move away and the lady said 'Would you mind signing this ... and as I'm about to write my name she says 'We love The English Patient.' So, I just wrote, 'With love, Ralph Fiennes'."

We are going to be seeing plenty of Neeson on the big screen this year as he has already completed work on Non-Stop, A Million Ways to Die in the West and lent his voice to The Lego Movie.

He is also working on new animation film The Prophet, alongside Salma Hayek and John Krasinski.
