Crook - who played pirate Ragetti in the first three films - has confessed he felt slightly left out when Johnny Depp and the rest of the cast travelled to Australia to shoot the fifth instalment 'Dead Men Tell No Tales'.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I did sort of feel it was my time [to quit] but at the same time I can't help feeling little pangs of nostalgia because we had such an amazing time making those movies and to think that they're all off in Australia doing it again without me was a little bit... But yeah, I think my pirating days are over for now."

Mackenzie admitted that although he decided to quit the franchise, he can understand why they've continued to make more.

He said: "As long as there's an appetite. I mean, it all relies on Johnny and if he wants to do more, people will want to see Captain Jack Sparrow. As long as they get quality writers, they'll continue to make good movies."
