Mark Wahlberg is rumoured to be reuniting with Will Ferrell in 'Daddy's Home'.

Wahlberg, who starred alongside Ferrell in 2010 film 'The Other Guys', is reportedly in talks to join 'The Anchorman' actor in the upcoming comedy, Deadline reports.

Ferrell was originally going to be joined by 'Dodgeball' star Vince Vaughn in the film, however, Vaughn's involvement is said to have come to an end when Tropic Thunder's Etan Cohen, who was attached to direct, abandoned the project.

The 46-year-old funnyman will star as a mild-mannered radio executive who is always striving to be a good stepdad to his wife's two kids, while Wahlberg would take on the role of the their freeloading, bad-mannered biological father who becomes embroiled in a competition for their attention.

Sean Anders and John Morris - who wrote the script for 'We're the Millers' and are currently directing 'Horrible Bosses 2' - are now said to be in line to helm 'Daddy's Home'.

Wahlberg last appeared in 'Lone Survivor', which he also produced, and will next be seen on the big screen in 'Mojave' and 'Transformers: Age of Extinction'.

Meanwhile, Ferrell's last film credit was the long-awaited 'Anchorman' sequel 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' and he is set to appear in comedy-drama 'Welcome to Me' later this year.
