The kids from St. Bernadette’s Primary School are back in the fantastic new trailer for Nativity Rocks, encouraging viewers to get into the holiday spirit a full five months before Christmas lands right on our doorsteps all over again. Check out the brilliant teaser below:

This year, the Coventry children along with their educational higher-ups are competing for a coveted place in a rock musical competition. The film aims to bring the feel-good aura of the original back to fans, with Celia Imrie reprising her role once more as the school’s Headmistress Mrs Keen.

Meera Syal, Ruth Jones, Anna Chancellor, Hugh Dennis and Helen George all also star, with Simon Lipkin and Craig Revel Horwood making their debuts in the series as Jerry Popper and Emmanuel Cavendish respectively.

Though we’re looking ahead to the rock-tastic new movie, we’ve already had some information from director Debbie Isitt who said in an interview with feelchristmassy.co.uk: “Nativity 4 has been developed already and so has Nativity 5 – one of them is set ‘Down Under’ in Australia.”

She added: “However, I am uncertain as to if or when they will be made as there are other projects competing for my attention. We will just have to see.”

If Nativity Rocks is a major success like its predecessors, we imagine Isitt will have no choice but to carry on with the series. We can’t wait to watch!

Nativity Rocks comes to cinemas across the UK on November 23, 2018.
