Next year (2022), audiences will be able to see the uplifting story, from eOne, of young Georgina Nolan (Olivia Cooke) as she tries her hand at figuring out a citywide case that’s causing a lot of chaos.

Entertainment One Ltd. (eOne) is a talent-driven independent studio that specializes in the development, acquisition, production, financing, distribution and sales of entertainment content.

As part of global play and entertainment company Hasbro (NASDAQ: HAS), eOne's expertise spans across film and television production and sales; production, distribution and brand management of kids and family properties.

Fireheart follows the story of Georgina who, since, she was young, has only ever had one dream: to be a fireman, just like her father is. Unfortunately for her, 1930 New York City (NYC) doesn’t allow women to be firefighters.

However, when the city’s firemen begin to go missing in the midst of a series of mysterious fires targeting Broadway theatres, Georgina sees a chance for her to prover herself.

She must disguise herself in order to get a crack at the case; so, Georgina becomes Joe, an awkward young ‘man’, and joins the team of scrambled crew put in charge to stop the arsonist.

Georgina must protect her false identity at all costs, more so since her father is the one in charge of this dangerous investigation.

The trailer for Fireheart showcases Georgina’s will, determination, tenacity and strength, as she strives to be the first ever female firefighter. From the trailer alone, this animated film is set to be a wonderful and endearing story about fighting for what you want, and not letting anything stop you.

Fireheart sees ‘Joe’ tackle the dangerous world of firemen, and questions her father as to why the daughter he speaks of, who wishes to do what he does, hasn’t got her chance.

While this film will no doubt speak to young children about following your dreams and chasing the biggest opportunities, even if that means making your own, it might just challenge the younger girls to grab life by the horns and not take no for an answer.

Many kids’ films have a message, and many of them empowering, and it seems Fireheart is no different; what is different, however, is the unique 1930s setting, and the way in which Georgina’s story will be told.

Fireheart will be in cinemas from February 11th, 2021.
