Two adorable animals called Flummels, who are fluffy rabbit-like creatures with the body shape of a donut, are always getting into mischief. However, when Op (Rachel Bloom) and Ed (Adam DeVine) find themselves in the future, they must figure out how to get back home to the 19th century.

Coming to Sky Cinema on August 20th, 2021, Extinct follows the pair of Flummels who are more than confused when they accidentally time travel to future Shanghai not only are they out of time, but they find out their entire species has gone extinct.

From directors David Silverman and Raymond S. Persi comes a hilarious new family flick, as Op and Ed get into more and more messes, seemingly due to Op and her charming naivety.

When the duo of fluffy Flummels explore the city of Shanghai, they discover planes, traffic, electricity, and the donut, which they think is a member of their own species and are horrified when their new friend tries to eat one.

The two friends manage to get themselves trapped in the future after trying to collect more flowers for the island’s flower festival, and it seems that the two aren’t the brightest Flummels in the box, as they both hurl towards a mysterious flower that transports them forward in time.

The trailer is a delightful collection of clips from the upcoming movie; Op and Ed are a genuinely brilliant comedy duo, as Op is always the one coming up with crazy and adventurous ideas, while her friend Ed is constantly trying to talk her out of them.

Once in the future and feeling a little dazed, Op and Ed run into a group of other extinct animals, such as a triceratops and a dodo. The design of the animals, as well as the environments around them, are absolutely stunning; we can’t wait to watch the perfect pair of friends try to find their way home.

We see their hilarious friendship in the trailer as they seem to travel to a variety of different time zones, one of which contains a caveman who throws a spear at the pair; luckily however, the hole in the middle of their bodies saves them.

Extinct will be released on Sky Cinema from August 20th, 2021. The film will also be available on streaming service NOW, with Sky Cinema Membership.
