Deadline has reported that a deal between Isaac and Twentieth Century Fox has been reached and the actor will join an all-star cast for the already highly anticipated new X-Men film.

Apocalypse is one of the most iconic X-Men villains from the comic series and it will be the first time that we are going to sees this character on the big screen in the popular film series.

Bryan Singer is set to return to the director's chair after both the critical and commercial success of X-Men: Days of Future Past earlier this year, while Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult are set to return.

Fassbender, McAvoy, Lawrence, and Hoult will reprise their roles of Magneto, Charles Xavier, Mystique and Beast - it is believed that the movie will explore the relationship between Mystique and Magneto, However, little more is known about the film's plot at this point.

As for Isaac, his star has been on the rise over the last year with roles in the likes of Inside Llewyn Davis and The Two Faces of January, and that star is to keep on rising as we head into 2015.

X-Men: Apocalypse is jus one of the high profile roles that we are going to be seeing the actor in as he is also set to star in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Ex Machina.

Star Wars is already one of the eagerly awaited movies of next year - we are going to have to wait until December before the film hits the big screen - but we don't yet know what role he is going to play in the J.J. Abrams directed movie.

Before we see Isaac in Star Wars, he is set to star in science fiction film Ex Machina and drama a Most Violent Year, both of which are already whipping up a storm with the critics.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to star filming next year, and will be released 19th May 2016.
