Paul Feig is developing a spin off to hit comedy The Heat.
The Heat his the big screen this summer to great success as Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock joined forces for the first time.
The new movie will not feature McCarthy and Bullock and will instead focus on supporting actresses Jamie Denbo and Jessica Chaffin's characters.
Feig told Deadline: "Jamie and Jessica are two of the funniest people on this planet. They took small roles in 'The Heat' and turned them into characters worthy of their own movie.
"I can't wait to unleash Beth and Gina on the world. Run for your lives."
The Heat grossed in excess of $229 million at the global box office and enjoyed critical success as well as being a commercial hit.
As soon as The Heat hit the big screen there was talk about a sequel - however, Bullock said that she would not be returning for a second film.
Paul Feig will be back in the director's chair for the spin off, while Tricia McAlpin has already started work on the scrip.
Who else will be on the cast list is unknown and a release date has not been announced.
