Amanda Seyfried says 'Lovelace' could have been a miniseries.

The 27-year-old actress - who stars as iconic Seventies porn star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming biopic - has revealed that the film's producers considering pitching the show as a TV drama to top US cable network, HBO.

She told BANG Showbiz: "You can't just make one movie. It would have to be a miniseries of her life. That was another approach ... we could have approached it that way. I would have been more than thrilled had this been a miniseries because I wasn't ready to let the character go and I f***ing love my cast. There was talk of maybe setting up with HBO and doing something."

Meanwhile, the actress - who also has a producer credit on the film - admits her agent was the one who really produced on her behalf and was responsible for co-star Peter Sarsgaard's casting.

She said: "We helped cast it. Well, my agent should have got that producer credit because she was actually the one producing it, but she gave it to me. It's true. She did all the work. She's the one that got Peter involved. It's just amazing."

'Lovelace' is in cinemas on August 23.
