Peter Dinklage is a favourite here at FemaleFirst and he is temporarily leaving Game of Thrones to return to the big screen this summer in Pixels.

Pixels sees Dinklage takes on the role of Eddie Plant aka The Fire Blaster, who is called upon to help save the world when it is invaded by aliens who are using arcade game classics to attack the earth.

We have already been treated to a trailer and some great featurette for the film, and now it is the turn of Dinklage to take centre stage.

This brand new featurette introduces us to the character of Eddie and we also have the first clip of this terrific actor in action:

This new clip sees Eddie in jail and being asked to join the fight against the invading aliens. However, Eddie has some demands for Sam, Will, ad Violet - played by Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Michelle Monaghan:

A terrific cast has been assembled for the film as Sandler, James, Monaghan, and Dinklage are joined by Josh Gad, Ashley Benson, and Brian Cox. Pixels really is promising to be unlike any other film we are going to be treated to this summer.

As kids in the 1980s, Sam Brenner (Sandler), Will Cooper (James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Gad), and Eddie 'The Fire Blaster' Plant (Dinklage) saved the world thousands of times - at 25 cents a game in the video arcades. Now, they're going to have to do it for real.

In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens discover video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth, using the video games as the models for their assaults -- and now-U.S. President Cooper must call on his old-school arcade friends to save the world from being destroyed by PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede, and Space Invaders. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.

As for Dinklage, he has been enjoying huge success this year with the fifth season of hit television show Game of Thrones - he will be back filming the sixth season later this year.

The actor has also completed work on Michelle Darnell and his currently lending his voice to animation movie Angry Birds, which is set to hit the big screen next year, Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, and Maya Rudolph are just some of the other names on board.

Pixels is released 12th August.
