Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino says he has no opinion about Ben Affleck being cast as Batman as he doesn't find the superhero and interesting character.

The casting of Affleck in Superman vs Batman has been a contentious one, but many actors and directors have shown their support for the actor.

And while Tarantino isn't that interested in the character of Batman, but he does wish Affleck all the best.

Speaking to  French print publication Les Inrockuptibles, Tarantino said: "I have to admit that I don't really have an opinion [on Ben Affleck being cast as Batman.] Why? Because Batman is not a very interesting character.

"For any actor. There is simply not much to play.

"I think Michael Keaton [who stars in 1989 'Batman' and 1992's 'Batman Returns'] did it the best, and I wish good luck to Ben Affleck."

Filming is set to get underway next year on Superman vs Batman as Affleck teams up with Henry Cavill. Zack Snyder will be in the director's chair.

The highly anticipated film which is being referred to as 'Superman vs Batman' is set for release on June 17 2015.
